COVID represents itself, here, there, and everywhere.

It is worldwide.

You can’t hide.

COVID is here to accomplish a goal,

And it is a hefty toll.

Its purpose is to destroy humankind.

To leave their body lifeless,

without their mind.

It doesn’t want you to survive,

because it doesn't want you alive.

It doesn’t discriminate.

Whether you’re black or white,

 young or old.

You must have the strength

to be strong, fight, and be bold.

What a tragedy this is.

Families suffering from depression and stress,

knowing that their loved ones will never come back,

because of this worldwide critical attack.

Watching the news, and

observing others crying the blues.
Listening to their cries

 saying “Why? Why? Why?”

While the deaths continue to increase,

revealing this predicament will be hard to cease.

Creating a new task,

for the face covering masks.

For some of the others,

Covid has wiped out their mothers, fathers,

cousins, friends, enemies, sisters, and their brothers.

Get up, get up, and walk around.

Don’t lay in that bed to become the next victim found.

It wants you to stay in bed to take over,

so it can continue to smother and hover.

You will endure so much pain,

which may be somewhat difficult to explain.

The headaches, chills, shooting pains,

stomach pains, dizziness, and more.

It will definitely hit you at the core.

Open up those windows to get some fresh air,

to relieve the sick smell.

So that you can get well.



Take some meds or teas,

so that you can get some sort of peace.

Decontaminate to prevent germs throughout the day.

Hundreds and thousands have faded away.

It made sure that they weren’t going to stay.

The list of names that are gone,

 continues to go on and on.

While taking their breaths,

COVID was thrilled by their deaths.

You can regain your strength against this silent killer,

but you must be a fulfiller.

You almost had myself and my family members,

 but we were determined not to be in that number.

Yes!  I was down for a little while.

But I came back with a gleaming smile.

Because near the end,

I refused to let COVID win.
