Threads of Light

by Rajendra Gupta

A silent world, in sudden pause,
Across the lands, unspoken laws
Of distance drawn, and touch denied,
Where fear and grief could freely ride.
Each window framed a separate scene,

Yet hearts entwined, though unseen,
We shared the breath of anxious air,
A common burden, hard to bear.

For every life that slipped away,
A star extinguished from the day,
We hold their light within our soul,
A story whispered, to make us whole.

From darkened days, a strength arose,
In kindness shared, as hardship grows,
A web of care, in fragile thread,
Connecting living and the dead.

Now dawn returns, a gentle hue,
Remembering all, we journey through,
With threads of light, we weave anew,
A world rebuilt, in shades of true.
