Frank Gabrin

First ER doctor to die from COVID-19 while treating patients at East Orange General Hospital, NJ and St. John’s Episcopal in Queens, NY. He succumbed to his illness March 31, dying in the arms of his husband, Anthony Vargas.A graduate of the Univ of Pittsburgh and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Gabrin was a two-time cancer survivor and U.S. Navy veteran. The world mourns him and thanks him for his courage administering care during the early days of the pandemic.
